About

I’m Jackie Mack and I love food.  I love walking on a brisk sunny day.  I am a fan of green surrounding me and the sound of rivers running and ocean waves crashing.  I love cooking for family and friends and enjoying the meal around our table.  I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, daughter and my dog, Oreo.

I studied nutrition with the Nutritional Therapy Association, here in Portland, for 9 months in 2011.  This schooling in nutrition really got me excited about sharing some hearty, tasty recipes.  The best way I know to share my love of food is to blog, and so Lingonberry Lane was born.

The recipes on this site are my own creations, family recipes, or recipes that I’ve adapted from other sources and I always name my source in my post.

The photos on my site are photos taken by me unless otherwise noted.  Note: My friend Sharon Waisanen shared with me the gorgeous photo of lingonberries growing in the Alaskan forest that adorns my site banner.  Thank you Sharon!

Thanks Jackie for bringing a bit of Alaska to us here in Austria!! You forgot to mention how good crisp is with ice cream :))) but I guess than the nutritional value starts to get a bit blurry! Cheers to your new blog.

I love your work here, Jackie, and just shared it via email with a longtime friend (classmate from high school days) who lives in Pasco, WA where I grew up. Also fixed the pork chops recently..but made some substitutes..so thinking next time I will do it just as you presented the recipe. Jo
